How to store bacteriostatic water 10mL vials
Unopened vials of reconstitution solution keep well in a cool, stable spot away from direct light; leave them sealed in the carton until needed. The benzyl alcohol preservative is what allows repeat access, but it does not replace clean handling.
Once the stopper of a 10mL vial has been punctured, refrigerate it, wipe the stopper before each access and use sterile technique every time. Mark the opening date on the label, and discard any vial that looks cloudy or contains particles. Do not freeze the solution, and keep opened and unopened stock clearly separated on the shelf.
